Equality Trade Union Migrants' Branch(ETU-MB) rushed in < Sit-in struggle for achieving freedom of assembly and association, opposing to deportation, achieving working visa> on April 28, 12pm in Myeongdong cathedral to impeach oppression from korean government for migrant workers.

April 7, There was a big rally joining over 1000 migrant workers for impeachment of korean gov.'s policy deporting migrant workers and achieving working visa. After rally, korean government was afraid of our awful anger and oppressed next rally planned on April 21 in Jongmyo.

April 21, Korean workers and student group held a rally in Jongmyo for protesting against oppression for migrant workers and Representatives of migrant workers from Seoul, Gyeonggi, Incheon held a press conference in KCTU(Korean Confederation of Trade Union). ETU-MB proclaimed migrant workers' continuous struggle for achieving legalization in the press conference.
So, We carried out this sit-in struggle.

Migrant workers' sit-in struggle group proclaimed that they would go on a sit-in struggle continuously for achieving their demands as follows.

■ We want working visa!
■ Oppose registration letting us deport!
■ Stop crackdown & deportation!
■ Oppose EPS(Employment Permit System), Achieve freedom of moving the factory and labor 3 rights!
■ We want to make a rally and freedom of expression!
■ Give us salary! We are human being, don't physical violence! Give a day-off and severance pay!
■ We want to stay and work over 5 years legally.

Now, We are in the edge of cliff. What are waiting for us is just deportation if we surrender to korean government depriving us of rights to speak,
It's time to speak out proudly our anger and demand again. 400,000 Migrant workers, our comrades! Rise up and Join the migrant workers' sit-in struggle!!!
