President George W. Bush is to ask visiting Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon to reduce the level of Palestinian civilian killing in the West Bank in order to foster a more favorite atmosphere to the planned American war on Iraq, Israeli sources said Tuesday.

The Israeli media reported that Bush would try to convince Sharon to scale down the number of Palestinian civilians killed by the Israeli occupation army and paramilitary Jewish terrorists.

American officials reportedly had complained that gruesome TV images of Palestinian civilians crushed to death or killed in cold blood by Israeli troops were making it harder for the Bush administration to enlist Arab and Muslim support for a possible military campaign against Iraq.

Sharon, a certified war criminal, reportedly rejected American demands to that effect, arguing that Israel will fight terror our way irrespective of any other considerations.

Sharon reportedly privately criticized the Americans, arguing that civilians are killed in every war, many civilians were killed in Afghanistan and in Serbia.

Sharon arrived in Washington on Tuesday for talks with Bush and other American officials that will center on Iraq and the Palestinian crisis.

Bush is expected to ask Sharon to refrain from attacking Iraq in case of an American attack on the Arab country.

Sharon is also expected to ask for additional American financial assistance to bankroll the Israeli reoccupation of Palestinian population centers.
