Medical sources in the West Bank city of Jenin have said that occupation troops had detained driver of an ambulance car and his assistant while performing their humanitarian duty.
Eyewitnesses said that occupation forces intercepted the sole ambulance car left in the Razi hospital while heading to Almanya suburb to carry a patient in need of urgent medical care.
They added that the soldiers arrested the driver Saade Al-Natoor and x-ray specialist Ibrahim Yassin and took them in a military jeep to the Jalama army roadblock to the north of the city.
Razi hospital sources said that the step would cripple the hospital¡¯s work in carrying patients because the ambulance was the only one owned by the hospital at present.
The occupation army troops had arrested a big number of paramedics and doctors working in Palestinian hospitals and caused the martyrdom or injury of many of them during the Aqsa intifada. Zionist army soldiers also destroyed many ambulance cars.
