The Palestinian council for justice and peace has issued a report revealing that 77 Palestinians were killed at the hands of Zionist occupation troops in the past month of February.
The report, which monitors events of the Palestinian uprising, said that that 12 of those killed were juveniles, 9 were assassinated or murdered in cold-blood, 3 were killed at Zionist army roadblocks and 3 were women.
It pointed out that 725 Palestinian citizens were wounded in the same month including 220 children while 755 Palestinians were arrested and 852 houses and 385 industrial installations were either demolished or partially damaged.
The report also said that the total number of Palestinian martyrs since eruption of the uprising on 28th September 2000 till 28th February 2003 had reached 2,196 persons including 150 who ever arrived to hospitals.
578 of those were children, 295 schoolchildren, 270 Palestinian Authority security men, 114 women, 97 at roadblocks, 254 in
assassinations and cold-blooded executions and 37 at the hands of Zionist settlers.
The number of wounded reached 43,374 and the number of detainees totaled 19,019 out of whom around 8,000 were still locked up in Zionist jails.
Zionist occupiers uprooted 713,689 trees and damaged 38,459 houses including 2,180 buildings completely destroyed, the report noted,
It pointed out that Zionist occupation forces had killed 24 paramedics while on duty and attacked ambulance cars more than 360 times wounding 432 members of medical teams and destroying 36 ambulance vehicles in the process.
The report said that 49 Palestinian women gave birth to their babies at Zionist roadblocks. It added that 29 newborns and 97 patients died when occupation soldiers blocked their way to hospitals.
