At least one Palestinian fighter and two Israeli occupation soldiers were killed Wednesday in the West Bank.

Palestinian sources reported that Israeli occupation forces attacked the village of Sida north of Tulkarm amid intensive gunfire.

The sources said Palestinian guerillas opened fire on the attacking troops, killing one of them.

One of the Palestinian defenders was killed and two others were injured in an exchange of fire.

In Nablus to the south, local sources reported that Palestinian guerillas attacked an Israeli army outpost, killing one soldier and injuring two others.

Meanwhile, the Israeli army on Wednesday beefed up its forces in the town of Hebron following the death of an Israeli soldier Monday at the hands of Palestinian resistance fighters.

Palestinian sources said more Israeli tanks and personnel were brought into the city in order to repress the Palestinians who are rising up to end decades of Israeli colonial occupation of their homeland.

Earlier, Israeli "Defense" minister Shaul Mofaz described Hebron as "duty of terror" referring to stepped Palestinian resistance to Israeli occupation forces.

On Tuesday, the Israeli army (IDF) demolished several apartment buildings in Hebron, alleging that Palestinian guerillas fired from one of the buildings.

Palestinian sources said more than sixty men, women and children were made homeless as a result of the demolition.

Since the outbreak of the Palestinian uprising against Zionist colonial occupation of the Palestinian homeland two and a half years ago, the Israeli army destroyed as many as 5000 Palestinian homes, rendering tens of thousands homeless.
