The Palestinian Authority's health ministry has declared that Zionist occupation forces had killed hundreds of Palestinian juveniles and scores of babies in their mothers's wombs since eruption of the Aqsa intifada on 28th September 2000.

The ministry issued a press release on the occasion of the Palestinian child day celebrated yearly on 5th April, pointing out that thousands of other children were wounded in the same period.

The report said that Zionist occupation troops killed 565 Palestinian children including 277 in the Gaza Strip and 259 in the West Bank while 29 babies died in their mothers's wombs at Zionist army roadblocks.

The ministry explained that the number of wounded juveniles had reached 13.610 distributed as follows: 8.702 in the West Bank and 4.908 in the Gaza Strip.

The PA ministry addressed an urgent appeal to the UN, WHO, UNICEF and the general commissioner for human rights in addition to all world children to interfere and help the Palestinian people.

It urged for an international protection for the Palestinian people who are the target of the cruelest practices in human history.

In August last year the American John Hopkins University published a report on Palestinian children noting that 22% of them were suffering from malnutrition as a result of Zionist occupation.

It explained that the occupiers blocked proper circulation of foodstuff on the one hand and deteriorated Palestinian economic conditions on the other, which reduced Palestinian breadwinners's ability to secure adequate meals for their children.
