The police arrested 21 people of a visa counterfeit ring, which offered illegal entry of NK escapees' family and relatives living in China through visa forgery.
It was unveiled that the NK Escapees gave the ring 10 million won each. Kyoungbuk Police bureau arrested 2 persons including Mr. Huh, middle agent, in suspicion of the forgery of official papers and the violation of foreign currency control law and put Mr. Hong, the agent leader, on a wanted list.
The police also booked 17 persons including 8 NK Escapees' family without detention and are questioning middle agent Mr. Lee. According to police investigation, Mr Lim is suspected of taking 110 million won from 11 people at the end of November from the middle of September last year. According to the results of police investigation, it was revealed that Mr. Hong handed down Korean-Chinese brokers through exchanging money received from NK refugees for dollars and then Chinese brokers thought entry ways for NK refugees' family.
