The word 'Globalization' is popular in the society. But who is the real
master of globalization? Ourselves? We may not say that Korea is the
master of globalization. If so, do we have to live alone in the earth? We
need to open eyes and mind as one of the civilians.
'Taegu Round Global Forum' opened a way to reach into being globalized.

'Taegu Round Global Forum was held at Kyungpook National University and
Palgong mountain from October 6th to 8th in Taegu. It is for the purpose
of banning international speculative capital like 'Hedge Funds'.
International speculative capital goes around all over the country and
destroys domestic economy of underdeveloped nations. The scale of
speculative capital is really more giantic than we imagine. It just like
a quarrel between David and Goliath.

But many Davids can win one Goliath.
'Taegu Round Global Forum' is a solidarity of civil group and NGO(non-
governmental organization). Separate individuals and organizations don't
have much power but solidarity can be powerful. That's why linking NGO and
civil group, Taegu Round is meaningful.

The problem of speculative capital can not be settled by just desire of
underdeveloped country and debtors nation. Let's take the National Debts
Redemption Movement for example. The Movement is that Korean civilians
pay Japanese debt voluntarily by donating gold, silver, other valuables
and money saved even by quitting smoking. But this movement came to be
failed due to Japanese imperialistic intention, implying that the moral
hazard problem of creditors is also important to solve financial
problems. The important historical lesson from the movement is to confirm
the close connection between the strengthening of domestic reform measures
and the building up of just international financial order.

With this forum Taegu opened the way to the world. To held international
scale event in Taegu is not common. Under the slogan of 'Let's go to
Taegu', Taegu may become an international city. But 'Taegu Round Global
Forum' is so scholastic that civilians can't understand easily. And the
penalists didn't have enough time to talk about their thoughts.
Nevertheless 'Taegu Round Global Forum' will greatly contribute to
overcome the current financial crisis by facilitating a reform of the
international financial order.
