At two o'clock in the afternoon, KCTU and KPSU co-hosted the rally to resolve the victory of general strike at the Seoul Station square. At the statement read by another union leader, Seok Chi-soon, chair of subway union, declared that the strike was organized successfully, appealing unionists to tighten the strike ranks. At the rally, subway workers from different depots met together through the whole night's struggle.
Lee Sung-hoon, general secretary of KPSU, presided the rally, claiming "From four o'clock in the morning, Seoul Metropolitan Subway Workers Union went on the general strike, and by nine o'clock, 23 thousand workers from seventeen union under KPSU are on strike in a succesful
way!" KCTU leaders, including President Lee Kap-yong, and leaders of industrial federations joined the rally and showed their solidarity and resolution to the struggle.
The rank of over six thousand public sector workers and some students marched toward Myungdong Cathedral, where they had a concluding rally.
At this time, ranks of protesters have swollen to over ten thousand, welcomed by the subway drivers who were there in their sit-in struggle.

9 o'clock, over six thousand workers rallied at a campus square called Acropolis, which is a symbol of democratic struggle. They held the first night union assembly, and resolved to struggle to the end. In the rally, a student leader expressed solidarity and sympathy to the workers
struggle, applauded by the striking unionists.
