Kookmin to Lay off 500 Employees
Kookmin Bank plans to reduce its staff by about 500 next month. The bank said Friday that the staff reduction plan has been agreed by the bank's labor union, adding that the reduction will be carried out through voluntary early retirement of employees.

The bank said Friday that the staff reduction plan has been agreed by the bank's labor union, adding that the reduction will be carried out through voluntary early retirement of employees. The labor union of the bank accepted special allowances worth 18-months of salary for the early retirement program, Kookmin said. The bank's current payroll stands at 11,568.
