Report On Korean Labor Cultural & Arts Movement By Myoung Joon Kim
The Loborfest planning committee is now meeting and organizing for the
July 2001 festival in San Francisco. We are also planning to have a
special celebration/commemoration on May 5-7 2001 on the 130th
anniversary of the Paris Commune. A full length film has been made on
this historic event and we will be screening it in May.
Please join us on Friday May 15 for a report on our plans and also a
report by
Myoung Joon Kim of the Korean LaborNews Production On Korean Labor
Culture and Arts. The Korean Confederation of Trade Unions has a Cultural
Department that regularly participates and organizes labor cultural
events throughout the country including a national cultural festival in
November.
