It has been insisted that the Korean language test for foreign workers is needed to eradicate corruption of migrant workers sending business.
'Korean People's Co-operation Organization' sent out a petition to the National Assembly asserting to adopt Korean language test upon foreign workers in order to eradicate corruption involved in the commission given to foreigners for entering Korea.
The organization on its petition stated, "Chosunjok workers, 60% of all foreign workers in Korea are burdening a lot of debt as they pay seven to eight million won as brokerage fee", "if they are qualified by Korean language test, workers-sending corruption will be eradicated".
The organization added, "if there are no corruption related on labor trade, it effects a 200,000 won increase of wage per each worker, and there will be a book to learn Korean language, and the problem of discrimination and maltreatment against migrant workers will be improved a lot".

If someone is suffered a chronic stress caused by occupation and died because of mental derangement, it is an occupational disease, a judgment ruled.
At a trial on an appeal case by Mr. Jang, 36, against the Labor Welfare Corporation arguing to cancel decision of not-payment compensation for the bereaved family, the Seoul High Court on November 27, predicted, “the defendant pays 10 million won to the plaintiff”.
The judge stated, “we conceive that Mr. Kim, husband of plaintiff working at a Pole plant of Daewoo Motors Company, had a momentary illusion that his apartment was fired when he jumped down through window”, “but it was is an occupational disease because his mental derangement was caused from chronic stress on the job as his project was delayed two times within four months”.
