The police seized his books and some disks from his house. The reason for his arrest was that his company published a politically leftist book. He lectured not only at SKKU but also at Kangwon University. But, due to this
incident, the students of Kangwon University who regularly hear his lectures didn? take the final examination. About this, Choi Kyu-jin, the president of the SKKU lecturer's union said that, ?he books judged as leftist were just translations. That is to say that
these books were published originally in a foreign country. I don? know the standards for what is considered left or right.
