Mr Suh Joon Sik, Pleading again

The oral proceedings of Mr. Suh Joon Sik, the representative of Sarangbang Human Rights Group and director of Korea Human Rights News, will be reopened. The west branch of Seoul District Court withdrew the sentence trial scheduled on July 6th and decided to reopen the oral proceedings

Planning to reinspect the suspicion of "Red Hunt"

The oral proceedings of Mr. Suh Joon Sik, the representative of Sarangbang Human Rights Group and director of Korea Human Rights News, will be reopened.
The west branch of Seoul District Court withdrew the sentence trial scheduled on July 6th and decided to reopen the oral proceedings. The court in charge said that the re-inspection the "Red Hunt" concerning to "Cheju 4.3 Demonstration" would be reopened at the west branch of Seoul District Court on August 13th. Therefore the sentence trial seems to be held in September after the oral proceedings.

Recognizing this situation, Mr. Suh expressed his gratitude in a letter for "everybody inside and outside the country about the concerning his trial" and asked to observe his continuous struggle against NSL as well as the law of preservation and investigation. The prosecutor accused him of showing "Red Hunt" in the Human Rights Film Festival in 1997 and demanded the penalty as imprisonment for 5 years.
