Global Linux 2000, an international exhibition of Linux products, kicks off today at the COEX in Samsung-dong, southern Seoul, for a four day run.
Richard Stallman, Free Software Foundation founder will give a lecture tomorrow afternoon entitled "The Free Software Movement and the GNU/Linux Operating System." Among other notables due to make appearance at the Global Linux 2000 is Eric Raymond who heads the Open Source Initiative.
A separate investment forum will be held during the exhibition that will link international investors with 10 Korean venture firms specializing in Linux .
Some 67 companies, including 18 foreign vendors, are participating in the fair sponsored by the Korea Linux Council and the FSF.
