It is our privilege to contact you to talk about your possible presentation on an international conference on the US government’s Missile Defense Plan, scheduled to be held on 11-13 October 2001 in Seoul, Korea in accordance with the peoples’ global action to stop the MD deployment plan.
The Korean Committee Against MD & For Peace, composed of 40 Korean civil organizations, has been preparing the international conference in collaboration with civil organizations in Asia, Europe and America since early in this year. Please find out the attached drafting the conference.
The organizing committee of the conference, considering your experiences, current voices about the US security policy and commitment to peace, did not hesitate to raise your name for the subject of the conflict position of MD plan : the European perspective in the 2. session which is supposed to be discussed in the afternoon, 12 October.
It would be most appreciated if you could accept this offer to be the speaker on our conference. We are looking forward to your reply. Thank you very much.
